SOFTWARE ENGINEERING. A NEW WAY TO OPERATE.

Your next move.
An AI-powered
software factory.

Turn your backlog into software. Altiva implements and operates your AI factory — from product context to reviewed code, inside your own infrastructure.

01 / INTELLIGENCE IN OPERATION

More capacity to deliver.
Room to think about what’s next.

Your team sets the direction. The factory connects product knowledge, technical coordination and execution in one continuous flow. Altiva sets up that operation and runs it with you.

01 / CONTEXT

Virtual Product Owner

Understands requirements, decisions and product history. Clarifies requests and proposes work for the board.

02 / COORDINATION

Virtual Tech Lead

Plans tickets, follows execution and escalates blockers with the context your team needs to decide.

03 / EXECUTION

Development agents

Write code and tests in an isolated environment, following the rules of your project.

04 / QUALITY

Independent review

A second agent reviews the result. Your tests and checks validate the work before it moves forward.

02 / FROM REQUEST TO DELIVERY

A clear flow.
Decisions at the right moment.

Each ticket moves forward with context, validation and visibility. Set the autonomy level for each project and follow the work on the board you already use.

OPENFACTORY / WORKFLOWSelect a step to explore the flow
01 / Context

It starts with a well-understood request.

The factory connects the ticket with product knowledge, clarifies requirements and prepares a plan for the work.

Request → requirements → plan
02 / Development

Code and tests, in the same cycle.

Agents execute the plan in an isolated environment, respecting the project’s conventions and validation commands.

Plan → code → tests
03 / Validation

Quality needs evidence.

Project checks and an independent review assess the change. Failures and blockers stay visible before the work moves forward.

Checks → review → pull request
04 / Delivery

Autonomy follows your rules.

Depending on project policy, the factory can merge the work and observe the next environments. Moving to production requires human approval.

03 / ALTIVA BY YOUR SIDE

From implementation
to daily operation.

A factory needs to fit the reality of your business. We handle the integration, monitor its operation and help it evolve with your team.

01

Implementation

We set up the factory in your infrastructure, connect repositories and tools, and define quality and approval policies.

02

Monitoring

We follow executions, identify blockers and make it clear where attention is needed.

03

Evolution

We update components, refine integrations and adapt the operation as your projects evolve.

04

Support

We help your team make operational decisions and resolve issues, with context about your installation.

04 / BUILT AROUND YOU

Your code has a history.
The factory starts there.

You do not need to start from scratch. The work begins by understanding existing systems, tests and past decisions — to propose changes your team can review.

Explore OpenFactory
01

Your infrastructure

The installation lives on your machines or in your cloud account, using the credentials and integrations you authorise.

02

Knowledge with context

Discovery distinguishes what was confirmed, what tests demonstrate and what was only inferred from the code.

03

Control per project

Set autonomy, checks and approvals. High-risk components keep human involvement.

04

Freedom to carry on

OpenFactory is open source. The code and installation stay with you, even if you stop working with Altiva.

05 / OPENFACTORY

We created OpenFactory.
We maintain it in the open.

Altiva is the creator and maintainer of OpenFactory, the open-source AI software factory. We write and review its core, publish its releases and run it in production. It is Apache-2.0: anyone may run, modify and sell it, with or without us.

We are now building OpenFactory Enterprise for organisations that run many factories. It sits above the open-source factory and takes nothing out of it.

ALWAYS FREE · APACHE-2.0

OpenFactory

The complete factory, for one team on its own machines.

  • The full flow: plan, code, test, review, merge, deploy, park and diagnose
  • Virtual Product Owner, conversations, requirements and product memory
  • A minimal web panel for a single deployment
  • Local accounts and single sign-on with OIDC, with a basic set of roles
  • An audit event for every action, and per-job budgets
  • A documented API (OpenAPI) and a typed event stream
  • GitHub, Jira and Azure DevOps, by polling or authenticated webhook
  • Health checks and OpenTelemetry

No licence check, no disabled features, no Altiva service in the loop.

IN DEVELOPMENT

OpenFactory Enterprise

What an organisation adds when it runs many factories.

  • One control plane for many factories, with fleet-wide upgrades
  • A complete web interface in several languages, with account administration
  • SAML, SCIM and federated identity; custom roles and separation of duties
  • Audit storage and export to your SIEM
  • Secrets vaults and external secret managers
  • Policy packs, budgets and quotas across products and teams
  • A GitHub App that relays webhooks to every factory
  • Hosted by Altiva, or self-hosted under licence

Later: cloud provisioning, bring your own cloud and data residency.

THE BOUNDARY

Anything a single team needs to run one factory on its own machines, with no Altiva service involved, belongs in the open-source core and stays there. Enterprise covers what sits above the factory: managing many of them across an organisation. If an enterprise licence lapses, every factory keeps running as an open-source deployment.

06 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Before our first conversation.

Let’s talk
What is an AI software factory?

It is an operation that coordinates agents to turn requests into software changes. It connects product context, planning, development, tests and review under the rules of each project.

What does Altiva do?

We implement OpenFactory inside your infrastructure, connect your tools and support the operation. Our work covers integration, monitoring, maintenance and support for your team.

Does it work with our existing systems?

Implementation starts with your context: code, tests, repositories and processes. OpenFactory integrates with GitHub, Jira and Azure DevOps. We assess the connections and adaptations your operation needs together.

How do we follow the work?

The board shows tickets and their progress. The Slack integration lets you talk with the virtual Product Owner and Tech Lead to clarify requests, explore context and follow blockers.

Who approves production?

A person on your team. Autonomy is set per project, but human approval before production remains in place. Components marked as high risk also require human involvement.

Who builds OpenFactory?

Altiva created OpenFactory and maintains it. The project is open source under Apache-2.0, and contributions are reviewed in public on GitHub. Castello Soft is an implementation partner.

Is there a paid version of OpenFactory?

OpenFactory Enterprise is in development. It adds a control plane for many factories, enterprise identity (SAML, SCIM), audit export, secrets vaults and organisation-wide budgets and policies. The open-source factory stays complete and free, including single sign-on with OIDC.

What happens if we stop working with Altiva?

The factory stays in your infrastructure. OpenFactory is released under the Apache-2.0 licence, and your company keeps the code, installation and credentials.
